Booking Terms & Conditions

Please refer to our Boarding Agreement for terms and conditions.
Payments can be made by logging into your account and making payment via the Booking Portal or by bank transfer.
Balance of Accounts are to be paid in full before or upon check in.

Boarding Agreement
This Boarding Kennel Agreement is made between Brownlee Family Trust T/AS The Langley Luxury Dog Hotel Pty Ltd, ABN 44 108 359 284, hereinafter referred to as “The Langley” and the dog(s) owner(s), hereinafter referred to as the “Client” – jointly and severally if more than one owner.  

This agreement is in accordance with the requirements of the Domestic Animals Act 1994 and the Code of Practice for the Operation of Boarding Establishments State of Victoria 2004.

The Client has represented to The Langley that the Client is the true legal owner of each dog or dogs and is free and clear of all liens and encumbrances. At the Client’s request The Langley agrees to board each dog during the period [the “Boarding Period”] beginning on the admission date [the “Admission Date”] and ending on the collection date [the “Collection Date”] subject to the following terms.

This agreement is subject to change and such changes will be notified to the Client.
Facility Details
The Langley Luxury Dog Hotel is located at 9 East Metcalfe Langley Road, Langley 3444, Victoria. The facility provides high-quality luxury suite boarding and care for dogs.

The Langley does not warrant to the Client that each dog will spend the entire Boarding Period in a particular room of the Facility. At its complete discretion, The Langley may relocate a dog to a different suite or suites within the Facility during the Boarding Period. Check in and check out is by appointment only during the prescribed hours set out on The Langley website (www.thelangley.au)

Visitation to The Langley is by appointment only during the prescribed hours set out on The Langley website. Dog(s) are to be kept on a lead from debarkation point to being handed over to a staff member once inside the Facility. Intact dogs and bitches are at the discretion of The Langley. We reserve the right to refuse to accept and/or evict any dog that we determine, in our sole opinion, may be aggressive, a hazard or disturb the quiet enjoyment of our guests, employees or property.
Fees and Cancellations
The amount payable by the Client for the Boarding Period is calculated in accordance with this Agreement and at the rates set out at on The Langley website (www.thelangley.au) and as amended from time to time [the “Fees”]. The Client must pay all Fees (less any deposit paid) prior to or at the time of admission of each dog to the Facility. The Fees are calculated on “a per dog per day” basis and the Client shall be charged a full day’s Fee (a) for each day of the Boarding Period regardless of the time of admission; but (b) excluding the last day of the Boarding Period if the Client collects the dog from the Facility before 10am Monday - Friday and 12noon Saturday and Sunday. A late check out fee applicable to the daily suite rate for check out after these times applies. The Langley retains the discretion to amend/reduce the late check out fee in an emergency.

If three dogs from the same resident family share The Langley Terrace or The Penthouse at The Langley a discount of 10% of the total charge will be applied. The Client agrees that The Langley will not provide any refunds, partial refunds or credits to the Client if the Client collects a dog before the documented Collection Date.

On receiving an email confirmation of the booking from The Langley a deposit of 50% of the total applicable fees for each suite is to be paid within 48 hours of receiving this email. Due to the number of enquiries received and the small number of suites available, the booking may be cancelled if this is not received. This deposit is refundable less a $30 administration fee if a minimum of 30 days’ notice in writing is given for the cancellation. The full balance is payable before or at check in. The Langley retains the discretion to consider transferring the deposit to a future booking if the Client’s cancellation is within 30 days of the scheduled boarding date.

The following special conditions apply during the following peak periods. [“Peak Periods”]: If any day of the Boarding Period falls on any date between December 23 and January 31 (inclusive) a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total applicable fees for each suite is to be paid within 48 hours of receiving a booking confirmation email from The Langley. Due to the number of enquiries received and the small number of suites available, the booking will be cancelled if this is not received. The full balance is to be paid by December 1. The Langley retains the discretion to consider transferring the deposit to a future booking. If any day of the Boarding Period falls on any date during the Easter period (beginning on the Thursday prior to Good Friday and ending on the Friday following Easter Monday inclusive) a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total applicable fees for each suite is to be paid within 48 hours of receiving a booking confirmation email from The Langley. Due to the number of enquiries received and the small number of suites available, the booking will be cancelled if this is not received. The full balance is to be paid one calendar month prior to Good Friday. The Langley retains the discretion to consider transferring the deposit to a future booking. Payment can be made via the Booking Portal or by bank transfer. 
Care and Treatment
  1. The Langley agrees to provide proper care, canine enrichment, exercise, food, and accommodation for the Client’s dog(s) during the boarding period.
  2. Any specific dietary requirements, medical needs, and/or other special care requirements must be communicated in writing to The Langley at the time of booking.
  3. Clients providing their own food must clearly label each container/bag with the name of the dog, the contents and amount to be given daily. Sufficient food must be provided for the duration of the Boarding Period.
  4. At check in The Langley will undertake a routine health check for each dog which includes an assessment of coat. Such health check/assessment will be documented, and any concern(s) will be conveyed to the Client.
  5. Any dog found to have unclean/matted coats; evidence of fleas, will receive appropriate treatment at the discretion of The Langley. All costs are to be paid by the client and the Client indemnifies The Langley accordingly.
  6. Should a dog become ill or injured during the Boarding Period The Langley will contact the nominated first point emergency contact followed by the second point emergency contact if no response. The Langley has the complete discretion to make decisions which are in the best interests of the dog.  A vet is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Should the Client nominate that their vet is contacted for any reason full contact details of the Veterinary practise must be communicated in writing at the time of booking.
  7. Each dog will receive a complimentary aromatherapy bath for stays of three days or more prior to the collection date however at its discretion The Langley may charge the client additional costs if the dog has long, thick, or matted coat. The Client will be advised of such costs at check in. Some dogs may require full grooming, such as stripping, clipping etc. during their stay which will incur additional costs. This will be discussed with the Groomer at check in.
  8. Twenty-four hours’ notice must be given if the Client picks up their dog early to ensure that the bathing and departure procedures can be completed. The Langley takes no responsibility should bathing or departure procedures are not completed due to lack of notice.

Vaccinations and Health Care

  1. The Client certifies that the dog(s) is/are in good health and are not known to have or suspected to have any infectious disease.

  2. All relevant health information for each dog including dietary requirements, illnesses, special care has been disclosed to The Langley in the booking form and such information is complete and accurate.

  3. All essential information including and not limited to name, breed sex, microchip have been disclosed to The Langley in the booking form.

  4. All medication must be in the original packaging clearly identifying the dosage and prescribing Veterinary practice. Sufficient medication must be provided to cover the Boarding Period.

  5. Documentation that each dog has had flea treatment not more than one month prior to the admission date.

  6. Documentation that each dog has had intestinal worm treatment not more than three months prior to the admission date.

  7. If documentation cannot be provided for such treatments The Langley will administer such treatment and the Client will be charged. The Client indemnifies The Langley accordingly.

  8. Each dog has been vaccinated against relevant diseases (Distember, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Bordetella Bronchiseptica) and a current C5 vaccination certificate, which is not more than twelve months old must be produced.

  9. Failure to produce a valid Vaccination certificate for each dog on the Admission Date will result in the forfeiture of any applicable fees and/or any deposit paid by the Client and refusal of admission to the facility.

  10. The Client agrees to provide first point and second point emergency contact information. During the Boarding Period should any dog become ill or injured the Client agrees that The Langley may seek veterinary treatment for that dog. Any required veterinary treatment may be provided at the facility, or the dog may be transferred to the nearest appropriate Veterinary Clinic. The Langley shall have the complete discretion to make decisions which are in the best interests of the dog.

  11. All veterinary costs and expenses are to be paid by the Client and the Client agrees such services may be billed directly. The Client fully indemnifies The Langley accordingly. The client gives consent for their veterinary practice to liaise with The Langley and The Langley on call veterinary practice if necessary. 

Domestic Animals Act 1994
Pursuant to Part 5 of the Act and section 65 The Langley holds a lien over each dog and may retain that dog(s) beyond the collection date until
1. All monies owing to the Langley are paid in full, including any additional expenses reasonably incurred by The Langley.
2. The Client agrees failure to collect a dog(s) and/or pay any outstanding monies as referred to in 1. The Langley may dispose of the dog(s) within 14 days of the service of Notice on the Client in accordance with Sections 66, 67 and 68 of the Act.
Limit of Liability
  1. This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Victoria. Save to the extent that a Court of jurisdiction finds that The Langley was negligent The Langley shall not be liable for any injury, illness and/or death and/or loss and/or damage caused to any dog at any time whether before, during or after the Boarding Period. 

  2. The Client agrees to pay The Langley the full cost of any repairs and/or replacement of any property at the facility which is damaged by a dog. Including and not limited to bedding, furniture and artificial grass. The Client fully indemnifies The Langley accordingly.

  3. The Langley shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage caused by the dog(s) to third parties.

  4. The Langley is not responsible for any items including but not restricted to toys, bedding, leads being lost, destroyed or left behind.By signing below, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth in this Boarding Kennel Contract.
